Treating Common Injuries

As a massage therapist specializing in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and neuromuscular therapy, I often come across clients with a variety of injuries. While massage therapy is known for its ability to treat a wide array of musculoskeletal issues, there are some injuries that are more commonly treated with massage than others.

One of the most common injuries treated with massage therapy is lower back pain. This is due to the fact that the muscles surrounding the spine are some of the most commonly overused and strained muscles in the body. Massage therapy can help to reduce the tension in these muscles, thereby easing the pain and discomfort associated with lower back pain.

Another common injury treated with massage is neck pain. Neck pain is often caused by poor posture, repetitive motions, or injuries to the muscles and tendons in the neck and shoulders. Massage can help to reduce the tension in the muscles in this area, which can help to reduce inflammation, ease pain, and restore range of motion.

Shoulder pain is another common injury treated with massage therapy. Shoulder pain can be caused by overuse, postural issues, or acute or chronic injuries. Massage therapy can help to reduce muscle tension and discomfort in the shoulder area, which can help to improve mobility and reduce pain.

Tendinitis is another common injury treated with massage therapy. Tendinitis is often caused by repetitive motions, such as those associated with sports and other activities. Massage therapy can help to reduce inflammation, alleviate pain, and improve range of motion in the affected area.

Finally, carpal tunnel syndrome is often treated with massage therapy. Carpal tunnel syndrome is a condition that causes pain, numbness, and tingling in the hands and wrists. Massage therapy can help to reduce the tension in the muscles in the forearm, wrist, and hand, which can help to lessen pain and improve range of motion.

At Bodywork by Benna, I have extensive experience treating a variety of injuries with massage therapy. If you suffer from any of the above injuries, please don’t hesitate to contact me to discuss how I can help you to improve your quality of life and ease your pain.
